Howl-O-Scream is a Halloween-themed attraction at Busch Gardens. It is installed in August and September, both very active months of the hurricane season in Florida.
Several of the haunted houses were installed in tents, which keeps things very interesting when storms near the coast.
Each year, we designed 2 to 3 completely new haunted houses and re-designed 2-3 more so that the houses could be used for several years before being retired. We also designed 5 to 6 “Scare Zones” that were scattered throughout the park.
In addition to the design services, AST provided Project Management services to coordinate with the scenic vendors, the production team and the client. We also staffed the event with an Art Director to bring additional layers of depth to the scenery.
